little dragon

so, my first attempt in working digitally with only one hand. still cannot use the fingers on the other, and need long breaks, but i hope soon much better … zbrush is not possible, since navigation requires 2 hands. but photoshop and blender are possible πŸ™‚ though clicking buttons for navigation is timeconsuming… not much, but i enjoyed a lot the short sessions i worked on this.

  1. Cute dragon. Interesting to know that Blender is usable with one hand but zbrush isn’t. Do you mind if I post the picture with you saying that on the Adventures In Blender G+ page?

You sculpt better with one hand that I can with two πŸ˜›

    • yes, you may do so, thanks for asking πŸ™‚ … yes, in blender i can use the numpad for navigate in viewport, or even the pulldownmenus. it is coarser than with two hands pressing keys and moving pen, but it works. but in zbrush i could not find a possibility ( though it might exist, who knows…)

  2. Zbrush CAN be used with just one hand. Every function and operation have its own button, switch or slider. Of course this include navigation on document and in 3d, most of that in in transform menu. Try it! πŸ™‚ Only function that need keyboard are invoking tooltips and moving interface items in Enable Customize mode. I’m not sure about timeline but this is minor feature.

Comfortable navigation is just matter of customizing default layout a bit. This is so fun and easy, everyone program should have that.
I know this for sure because I broke my arm last year. For 2 weeks my hand was attached to my chest with bandages. πŸ˜‰
