the next step was to block out the beard in dynatopo, then i remeshed it with zremesher in zbrush, this is 700 polygons, neat for an automatic retopology, is it not?

then brought it back to blender, i applied a multiresmodifier, and then happended the magic! i never would have thought the shrinkwrap modifier is able to project that wild beard properly onto such a lowres basemesh,,, but it was until 4 subdivisions!… and, here is the result after a some more sculpting work on it…
