picasso portrait – finished

ok, here it is, it was an interesting experiment, thought it would fit, but not sure if it works the way i want… rendered in cycles, of course…

  1. thank you david! it was fun to try a complitely different approach for portrait, but keeping likeness as good as i can…
    yes, the shader is nice (its only one on the whole sculpture), took me quite a while to get right, the trick is to create a vertexpaint via “dirty vertices”, and then using a colorramp to control the color of the dirt, here a bluegreen, and the non dirt, here a reddish color, and how far they blend into each other via the vertex paintmap. and all this is mixed via boxmapping with a texture too, that also controls the bumps 🙂
