blender week – day 1

motivated by a discussion i decided to use a week of my holidays to properly learn blender πŸ™‚ … so, today i started with trying to get the interface of blender to work in a way that is comfortable to me. as modeling portraits is my main interest, i decided for the first project to learn to try to do a portrait using blenders subdivision modeling. i had watched a youtube tutorial how this way of modeling should work in blender, so i feeled it could be the easiest step for me to get started … so, this head began as a box, and thats how far i got today (it took me much much longer than if i had done it in zbrush, but hey, i am trying to learn to get such done in blender…)
